The technique to be learnt can be used on any form of document(video,music,text document,word document,image,pdf e.t.c)
Let's get started, endeavour to read all steps until the end:
Every file name has two parts :
1. The filename itself
2. The file name extension
E.g book.pdf here the filename is ” book” while the extension is “pdf”
You can change the filename the filename to anything you want, without affecting the file by simply renaming it.
But if you tamper with the extension, you will discover the file won’t open again. That’s where the trick lies.
Every application that opens document recognize the document through its file extension
Having a background knowledge of how the file works you can hide your files using this simple technique without using any software
1.Rename the file to something you can remember but should be different from the original name
2. Rename the file extension to that of another file (e.g if it’s a music file with not again.mp3 you can change it to again.jpg)
3. By doing this you or anybody accessing your phone will not be able to open this document and it will not show In your music player,
4. whenever you want to access the file again rename it to the original file extension(e.g rename it to again.mp3 then you will be able to play the music again)
ADVANCED
If you wish to add a whole folder of files using this method
All is you need is Winrar(available free online) for a computer system or ES3 file explorer on mobile phones(Available on google play).
For computer system using (winrar) :
Download and install Winrar(not more than 4mb)
Right-click on the folder you wish to hide and click the following
Winrar(optional not all version has this)
click add to archive
you can add a password if you wish by clicking on “set password”
Click ok
You will now have a new file in that same folder with the folder_name.rar / folder_name.zip
You can now rename this file to anything you want(preferably file_name.bat)
To reuse the file you have to rename it to .rar or as appropriate
For mobile Users(ES3 file explorer)
Long click on the folder
Click on more (not on all phones, or click similar icons that mean more)
Click on compress.
You can add a password which will be requested whenever anybody wants to open the file
Click ok.
You will now have a new file in that same folder with the folder_name.zip/ folder_name.7z
You can now rename this file to anything you want
To reuse the file you have to rename it to .rar or as appropriate.
Note: You must delete original files after successfully creating the hidden file
ADVANCED LEVEL 2
How to hide files behind image using winrar
1.Follow the steps above to compress your file using either WinRAR or es3 file explorer
2.Create a folder in local disc c
3. copy the encrypted file to the folder(e.g hide.rar)
4.copy the image to the same folder
5. open a command prompt on your system
6. type the following command :
Cd c:/
Cd folder_name
copy/b image_name.jpg+file_name.rar output.jpg
7. A new file with a name output.jpg will be created in the same folder with the file size equal to the addition of file_name.rar and image size
If you double-click this file, the image will be displayed
8. To access the file open winrar on your system and drag the file into it.
You can easily recover your files by extracting it.
